The place known as Haft Tapeh, in fact, is the ruins of a 3500 years old Elamite Kabnak city 23 km far from Chogha Zanbil. Its name refers to several archaeological hills in the region. Furthermore, there are various constructions such as a funerary complex probably that belong to Elamite king Tepti-Ahar and his family, a temple dedicated to Elamite god Kirwashir, in addition to a ziggurat. The collective tomb is a brick-made construction with vaulted arches known as one of the earliest of this type ever discovered in the world. Once the temple was unearthed, it was decorated with wall paintings and bronze plates. The museum of Haft Tapeh stores some discovered objects such as inscribed clay tablets, stamps, clay statues and busts especially statuettes of fertility goddesses, pottery coffin, decorative objects, and metal objects.
