Baba Taher Mausoleum

He is one of the most well-known mystics and poets of his time, known for his 2-line poetry. The first mausoleum attributed to him was made in the 13th century that was destroyed as time passed. The new building was made in Pahlavi’s reign, influenced by Islamic and pre-Islamic and modern architecture. When the construction was initiated, a tablet from the 14th century was found that is kept in Iran’s National Museum. 24 of Baba Taher’s 2-line poems were carved on stone and used to decorate the inner walls of Mausoleum.
