As the name signifies, the bazaar is located in the Tajrish neighborhood of Tehran. The main passage or Rasteh starts from Saleh Holly Shrine and continues to Tajrish Bridge. The ancient bazaar and its traditional structure, next to the holly shrine, and couple of Qajar Tekieh (place of religious ritual) are considered as the main attractions of the Shemiran area. The central section of Tajrish Bazaar is one of the main locations of Ashoora Mourning that is held each year in the memory of tragic martyrdom of Imam Hussein. The traders and shop owners gather money to hold this ritual and its procession. On normal days, this section is used for selling fruits. Many of the fruits that are hard to find in different seasons of the year are easily found here.
