Vank Church is one of the historical Armenian churches in Isfahan. This church was built by order of Shah Abbas II and with the efforts of the Armenians of the city. Vank Church is also called the "Church of the Holy Savior". Vank Church was originally just a small building known as the "Cop Church". After entering this church, there is a tall 3-story tower called the "First Bell Tower" or "Clock Tower". The clock of this tower was added 38 years after the construction of the main building of Vank Church. The first bell tower was built by Mardis Huntanian, an Armenian architect. The second bell tower is located on the roof of this church, between the western wall and the small dome. In the Armenian Church of Isfahan, there are 4 inscriptions in different parts of the building of this historical structure. There are also 2 domes in Vank Church. One of these domes is larger and is located on the altar of the church and the smaller dome is located above the church hall. You can see beautiful and colorful paintings in almost all parts of this church. These paintings are on the walls, the interior of the dome, the arches and even outside the church. These paintings are painted on stone, wooden boards, canvas, fabric and walls.
